Add API connection

Binance API key

Bitronite needs a read-only key. It pulls your trade and transfer history; it cannot move funds.

1. Open API Management

Sign in to binance.com → click your profile icon (top-right) → Account → "API Management" in the left sidebar. Or use the direct link: binance.com/en/my/settings/api-management

2. Create API → System generated

Click "Create API" (not "Create Tax Report API", see note below). Pick "System generated", give it a label like "Bitronite read-only", and complete 2FA.

3. Permissions: read only

Leave only "Enable Reading" on (it's the default). Make sure "Enable Spot & Margin Trading", "Enable Withdrawals", and "Permits Universal Transfer" are all OFF, Bitronite never needs them.

4. IP access: Unrestricted

Leave "Unrestricted (Less Secure)" selected. Bitronite's server doesn't have a fixed IP, so locking the key to a specific IP would block syncs.

5. Copy the key and secret

Paste both into Bitronite below. The Secret Key is shown only once, copy it now or you'll have to recreate the key.

Why not "Create Tax Report API"?

Binance offers a separate Tax Report API, but it covers a narrower endpoint surface than what Bitronite imports. Stick to the regular "Create API" button.

Sub-accounts

If you use Binance sub-accounts, create a separate API key for each one and add them as separate connections here. Internal transfers between accounts may need manual review.

Revoke any time

Delete the key in API Management whenever you want, Bitronite stops syncing immediately and the key becomes useless to anyone who has a copy.

Use a read-only key.
